Kyle's Homework

Here is Kyle's tree project.  He chose a Kowhai tree.....

The Kowhai Tree

·     Most Kowhai trees grow up to 8m high or some can grow up to 20m high.

·     They have bright yellow flowers.

·      The Kowhai can grow from a seed or tip cuttings in spring or autumn.

·      All parts of the tree are poisonous to humans.

·      The Maori’s used it for medicine.

·      The Kowhai tree is the NZ national flower.

·      Kowhai is the Maori name for yellow.

·     The Tui’s and Bellbirds love the flowers.
