About New Zealand

Where is New Zealand....

New Zealand is made up of 3 major islands...the North Island, the South Island and Stewart Island.
The biggest city is Auckland, but the capital of New Zealand is Wellington.

We live in Timaru, which is on the East Coast of the South Island.  It is south of Christchurch and north of Dunedin.

The New Zealand Money

The currency of New Zealand is the New Zealand Dollar.  One Dollar is made up of 100 cents.

  1. Hello, QuadBlogging friends! We spent a lot of time looking over your information about New Zealand this week. We learned many things we did not know before. We also did some map work finding out more about all three of our new QuadBlogging partners and their locations.

We also really enjoyed Mr. Be's adventures!

We go to a small school right on the border between Vermont and New Hampshire in the United States, so we are from both states. Our class has 15 2nd and 3rd graders (7-9 years old). We love to learn, and we think blogging is pretty terrific too.

We especially love the nature all around our school. This area has many forests and mountains. Some of the animals common in our area include chipmunks, skunks, porcupines, raccoons, moose, deer, black bear, turkeys, loon, chickadees, hawks, and squirrels. We can see that your land is quite different in some ways, but it looks like your mountains are absolutely stunning.

We like math, video games, recess games, baseball, art, music, and many more things. We can't wait to see in your writing what you like as well.

We will be reading your posts! We are still learning to comment, so we have been doing our comments together as a big group so far. Pretty soon some of our volunteers will be helping us to type many comments on your writing. We can't wait!

    Sincerely,
    Miss Blessing's class
